  • Initially starting out as an industrial + advertising photographer, today Jalal is renowned for his work in fine art photography, which has been exhibited at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art + Paris Photo. The Fondation d'Entreprise Hermes recently purchased works from his Knot series. Jalal teaches at Tehran's University of Media + Applied Sciences.

"My Knot series was taken in Yazd, a city in in the desert of central Iran. Especially here, the carpet is a symbol of the ancient + traditional life of Iran."
